Design features :
- Tapered pentagonal shape with an overall height of 50 cm and overall volume 95.8 L,
- Four hand-ports of 135 mm diameter and two 22 mm diameter outlets for filter placement
- The side panels can be constructed via bending or cutting into separate panels
- Top panel is glued to side panels using hot melt adhesive
- 3D -printed grommets, used to attach surgical gloves to the BADGER.
- HEPA filters
- Opening for the torso is sealed off from the outside environment using two overlapping plastic drapes
- 12 air changes of exhaust per hour (connected to standard hospital room’s in-wall vacuum suction source)
Drawbacks :
